My Journey to
Becoming a Yoga Instructor
My yoga journey began in 2002 when I started taking classes at a gym in the Chicago area. Eventually, the yoga classes were the only reason I was attending the gym so I switched my membership to a hot yoga studio where I could take class more frequently.
Fast forward to 2016. My husband accepted a job in Vancouver, British Columbia and I welcomed the opportunity to take a break from teaching high school math for the past 19 years to explore other ventures. I spent more time focusing on my yoga practice and completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Lila Rasa Brown and many other inspiring teachers at Vancouver School of Yoga. I also opened an Etsy store and started selling my stone bead jewelry online.
In June of 2017, my husband and I made another move, landing this time in Chapel Hill where I began teaching at various locations in Chapel Hill and Durham.
In my class, you can expect an upbeat atmosphere with creative and safe peak pose sequencing. I lead challenging classes while offering modifications to suit many skill levels.
